What Bantuan Kasih Johor (BKJ) actually is

Bantuan Kasih Johor is a real Johor state welfare program providing financial aid to residents — orphans, single mothers, senior citizens, hardcore poor households, taxi and e-hailing drivers, farmers, fishermen, veterans, and patients, among others. The 2026 state budget allocated RM170 million for the program, targeting around 350,000 recipients across 23 aid initiatives.

Phase 4: what happened

Phase 4 focused heavily on senior citizens — RM61.4 million for 307,000 elderly recipients, at RM200 each — with submissions extended until June 28, 2026, according to the Menteri Besar's announcement. Reported aid amounts per group in 2026 included: orphans RM2,000, hardcore poor households RM2,000, single mothers RM500, taxi/e-hailing drivers RM400, farmers/fishermen/veterans RM400, and cancer/dialysis patients RM600. Distribution ran through review and payment counters where recipients brought their IC for verification before payment.

How to deal with the real program

• Use official channels only — Johor government portals and offices, district offices, and announcements from the Menteri Besar's office. Type official addresses yourself.
• Never pay anyone to "process" your BKJ application or "guarantee" approval.
• Beware of fake links on WhatsApp and Facebook promising BKJ registration — phishing pages harvest IC numbers and banking details.
